Too much spam in my website/guestbook?

I've been getting lots of spam on my website, how do I put a form where you have to type in certain characters from a picture? and how do I make it work? I am using Frontpage to build my site.

you mean a login form? you have to learn php and mysql
Reply:The most common method these days seems to be the implementation of a "catpcha" scheme (that image with funky letters that you have to type to prove you're a human).





Another route would be to use a programming language to examine the text about to be added, and flag it if there is suspect behavior, like say, something that's got three or more web links in it.
Reply:Assuming you have access to the file on the Internet and the permissions are set and you have the password, navigate to the folder and open it, select your guestbook and delete the comments. There are other ways but I am assuming you don't have an automated way of deleting these comments.
