Robert E. Dutcher guestbook deceased 12/31/2004?

Most of the US and Canadian newspapers now have their online guestbooks through Legacy.com. You can go to their site and retrieve an old guestbook for a very small fee of $2.95. I believe they have Mr. Dutcher's that was published in The Berkshire Eagle. Here's the teaser on it:

Most of the on-line obituary sites will keep a guestbook open for 7, 30 or 365 days. Then they offer the family a chance to keepp it open forever for a fee. Most families decline the offer.

This looks like him:

will tell you how to get an obituary. That in turn should tell you what funeral home handled the arrangements. They in turn could (maybe) tell you more.

The Daytona Beach newspaper

doesn't seem to have his obituary on-line. They show you the first paragraph and ask for $2.95 for the whole thing. There may be a smaller paper for Ormond Beach.

I hope that was what you were asking.
Reply:For the uninitiated, a guestbook is a book that is normally used for brief condolences to the family. They usually are placed near the door before going into the place where a funeral is held. Nowadays, many funeral homes have an online edition, so that messages can be posted without going to the funeral itself.

Since the posting included the word 'deceased', as well as a date, the intent should be completely understandable by any experienced genealogist.
Reply:Like Violet has already asked is this leading to a genealogy question. If it is you will need to give us much more information than you have done.
Reply:What is your question? You didn't ask a question.
Reply:Please be more specific when asking a question. We have no idea what you are looking for
