mention something she likes such as a movie or hobby and/or if there is any upcoming event such as a birthday or outing perhaps mention it as something she can to look forward to.
Reply:Just let them know that you are available to them to help in any way you can. The support is what they need, and hopefully they'll feel comfortable enough to ask if they really do need anything.

Reply:I would not worry about he words, just knowing that many people care is all they need. Tell them that many a stanger (me, for one) at Yahoo answers is praying for them, because you asked this question.
